The shooting for my doorway poster came about spontaneously during the first visit to my daughter’s home in Salida, a small town in southwestern Colorado, blessed with beautiful mountain scenery, the white water of the Arkansas River, and the largest historical district in the state.
The Victorian architecture was charming and the attitude of the homeowners equally engaging. When asked if special arrangements were made for the porches to be decorated for shooting, I reply that Salidans just seem to go on living this way – enjoying their beautiful heritage... The variety and charm of their doorways always make me smile. |
